Who We Are
The INFORMS Student Chapter at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is a student-led organization dedicated to building a community for those interested in operations research, analytics, and management science.
We bring together graduate students interested in data-driven decision-making, real-world problem solving, and improving how systems operate. Our chapter provides a space for students to learn together, exchange ideas, and connect with others who share similar interests.
Our Role Within the University and Beyond
As a Campus Life Program, we connect University students with the broader operations research and analytics community. For students in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE), the chapter provides opportunities to develop leadership skills and engage with a wider academic and professional network.
As an affiliated chapter of INFORMS, we connect students not only within the University of Minnesota, but also to a larger community of scholars, practitioners, and industry professionals. We aim to bridge classroom learning, research exploration, and real-world application.
Through collaboration with faculty, alumni, and industry partners, students gain exposure to current developments, different perspectives, and practical challenges across a range of industries.
